Many churches today suffer the pangs of unfulfilled dreams, not because they lack spiritual life or sound theology, but because they are either unaware of or resistant to the rich insights that are available in the literature and research of organizational development, organizational learning, and strategic leadership. At the same time, the potential of this research and practice in the corporate world is often hampered by the absence of a biblical understanding of the spiritual dimension of people.
This blog is dedicated to exploring the interaction between these two worlds: the world of organizational theory and the world of theology. The dove in the top banner symbolizes peace for millions of people. For the Christian, it also symbolizes the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is the very essence of God made available to all who call upon His name. The dark background is symbolic of a world is reeling in confusion, organizational and political scandal, and profound economic concerns.
It is my prayer and my goal that this site might be one small conduit through which a little light might shine. I don't mean a conduit from me to you. What I really want is to dialog with you about these topics, even if you totally disagree with me. It is through this kind of interaction that our own biases are peeled away and truth exposed.
