learning to see beyond the past and present

This seminar is designed for current and future church leaders.

Leaders of Christ's church are planners; we frequently think about the future.

  • "What does God want to say to our church this week, this month, or this year?"
  • "Where is He leading us?"
  • What kinds of changes will we have to face?"

Often, however, our ministries are so caught up in the urgency of the here-and-now, that we have little time or energy to invest in tomorrow. When we lay out a plan, it usually encompasses the next year or, perhaps the next three years. Few churches or Christian organizations have stretched their strategic thinking 10, 20 or 30 years into the future.

Yet, changes during the next 10 to 20 years in Memphis and around the world could create multiple opportunities to reach people for Christ, as they could also present us with serious obstacles that, if unanticipated, could destroy all that we have worked for.

The "Future Perspective" Seminar will introduce you to ten emerging trends that could impact how we do church, ministry and Christian education in the future. In addition, you will be given a valuable tool designed to position your church or organization strategically and effectively engage the world around us with the message of Jesus.

What You Will Get from This Workshop

  • INSIGHTinto future trends that could impact your ministry.
  • Hands-on EXPERIENCE with a tool you can use with your church or staff to help them look with optimism toward the future.
